Oil cooler - All you want to know....
The term oil cooler and oil cooling became very popular in India after launching the Pulsar series 200 (discontinued) and 220 F from Bajaj motors. Oil cooling as we know from the name itself is cooling of engine oil by help of a special component called an oil cooler. Generally an engine oil will loose its viscosity if temperatures are very high than its specified heat range. As a result it may not be able to lubricate the mechanical components properly as specified. To overcome this problem and to provide better cooling especially for air cooled high performance engines oil coolers are generally used.

In olden days during the start of motorcycle evolution, it was placed behind and also in the front wheel, but eventually it got failed and in the end, placing it in the middle of chassis was proved to be successful for getting good stability and handling which was still followed till date.

Overdrive can be also called as the highest gear in the transmission of a motor vehicle that is very much needed at high speeds and also for cruising purposes, which maximizes
fuel economy and reduces the stress caused to the engine. It is an amazing mechanism in transmission that prevents deterioration of engine due to prolonged stress and high speeds while cruising for a long time on the highways. Monday, 8 July 2013
YRCS in Yamaha FZ, FZ-S & Fazer - Explained
The YRCS - Yamaha Ram air Cooling System is a new kind of feature which aids for better cooling in air cooled engines used in Yamaha's latest series of bikes in India the FZ, FZ-S and Fazer. This concept is quite simple and an innovative one. The additional attachment of a hood shaped tapered design placed at the cooling fin area of the engine projects the oncoming air flow while riding to the spark plug area where the temperature often rises to the peak. It also helps in better heat dissipation like a heat sink since it provides more surface area as far as I know. This set up along with front placed air flow shrouds directs the air flow perfectly to cool the engine fins.Sunday, 31 March 2013
Suzuki jet cooling system (SJCS) in GS 150R - explained.

Suzuki's 150 cc segment the GS 150R symbolizes a kind of engine cooling technology called as SJCS. Suzuki's jet cooling system (SJCS) is being employed in these motorcycles to improvise better engine cooling. Normally a conventional engine as we all know is cooled by 3 different ways - air cooled, oil cooled and liquid cooled, But this is a type of special design which is being used in air cooled engines to enhance better cooling and there by providing constant performance. This technology is inherited from Suzuki's advanced cooling system (SACS) which is some what more technologically advanced version of it. okay let's see here in brief how it works.

Maintaining the exterior look of your ride. - car and bike detailing.
I personally came across few detailing products so wish I could share some of my experiences here. Maintaining glossiness and out of showroom finish for a bike or a car is really a tough job, but people who are really crazy like me for their rides will definitely spend some quality time to make it look like brand new all the time. Sometimes many may prefer to take their bike or car to some car and bike detailing centers to maintain its look. It may help, but the prices are really high when its done under ASC or detailing centers like 3M car care. This ain't a tedious job if you follow these simple steps. I hope this will definitely help you to look your ride brand new without putting hole in your pocket. For normal clean and shine process everyone can do their bit.

The three types in general are mineral oil - derived from petroleum based products, fully synthetic - completely artificial and synthesized in labs. semi-synthetic- a blend of synthetic and mineral oil in definite proportions.
Generally an engine oil has many benefits like lubricating the engine, carries away the heat produced during operation, reduces friction, wear and tear of the internal components and keeping the engine clean, free from sludge combustion and carbon deposits.

The advantage of Ducati's desmo valve system.
Ducati - the one brand for best in class motorcycles has a special place in hearts among bike lovers and racers. Unlike when compared to other brands, Ducati bikes are always sportier and has superior distinct performance. This unique performance is due to a completely new approach and design of engine, its components and the framework of the motorcycle. I think that's the reason behind for its ultimate performance and also its cost against other superbikes. The Ducati is the only bike in market and in MotoGP championships to be equipped with a 4 cylinder V-twin type engine using a different valve train . The other competitors like Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda employ a 4 cylinder inline type engine in all their superbikes. Plus the Ducati's engines uses its own patented valve system called as desmodromic valve system which is responsible in part for its spectacular performance.

The advantages of using a Nitrox suspension - Gas charged suspensions.
The rear shock absorbers on current Bajaj Pulsar series bikes are also popularly known as NITROX shock absorbers. These types of shock absorbers are actually called as ‘Gas Filled Shock Absorbers’. The visual differentiation between a conventional shock absorber and a gas filled shock absorber is a small canister (box) which is attached on one side of it. This canister holds a small amount of Nitrogen gas in it. Hence these hydraulic shock absorbers or dampers are called as gas filled shock absorbers. So what is the reason to use a gas filled hydraulic dampers instead of using a conventional one? we'll find out the answer here.
