The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 was recently unveiled in 2012 auto expo - New Delhi. It has a complete new design, style and packed with many new features and technology. Today before 126 years back the world's first patented automobile from Benz rolled out and was regarded as the world's first automobile. Last year 2011 the 125th year of the first automobile was commemorated as the world automobile day. The first automobile was called as Benz motorwagen having a patent #37435. January 29, 1886 became the starting point of the automobile evolution as many new innovations were made successfully on the following years.

Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) - Explained

For an engine needs to work it requires energy from fuel, whether it may be petrol, diesel or any other alternative fuels. Electronic fuel injection is a kind of fuel delivery system or feeding of fuel to the engine in a electronically controlled environment.

It is similar to a computerized delivery of fuel supply to the engine. A computer here in the sense is a small micro controller (a microprocessor and a control unit).

Many new launches were made in the 11th Auto Expo which took place in New Delhi Pragati Maidan from 6-12 th January. A lot of international automotive brands took part and show cased their latest and most popular rides. Almost nearly 40 vehicle manufacturers took part in the auto expo 2012. New bikes and cars were launched in the show and here is the list of all the new launches that were made in the expo.

Tata's new car concept - the Pixel has exceptionally crafted with great design and packed with  latest technologies. The Tata Pixel, a new city car concept for Europe is the most package efficient four-seater in the world.

This car can accomodate four persons comfortably whereas the similar concept cars in Europe were mostly a two seater or can accomodate two adults plus two children.

Bajaj unveils a mini car RE60 similar to the Tata's Nano. It is termed as a public passenger carrier rather than being called as a car. Bajaj auto was believed to be working to take on a rival to the Tata Nano it seems. But it launched its product as a commercial vehicle rather than being a people's car.
